- Place the Template – Position the tool directly inside the stair tread, shelf, cabinet, or other opening.
- Adjust the End Plates – Rotate each end independently until it sits flush against the adjoining surface or corner.
- Extend to Fit – Slide the connected bars outward until both ends accurately follow the space being measured.
- Lock the Shape – Tighten the adjustment knobs so the length and angles remain securely in position.
- Transfer the Template – Carefully move the locked tool onto your board or other material and trace along the end plates.
- Cut to the Markings – Remove the template and make your cut along the transferred lines for a more accurate fit.
